Mongolian President Visited Croatia in 2011

Mongolian President Tsakhi Elbegdorj heading the high delegation visited Croatia on October, 19, 2011 and met with the Croatian President Ivo Josipović. The members of the Mongolian delegation were parliament deputies Sanjaa Bayar and Dashzeveg Zorigt, Foreign and Trade Minister Gombojav Zandanshatar and Minister for Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Tunjin Badamjunai. The Croatian Ambassador to China, Ante Simonić, was a member of the Croatian Delegation.

On October 19, the two heads of states had several meetings and discussed about the possibilities of cooperation between Croatia and Mongolia in economy, culture, education and sport. The cooperation in agronomy, mine industry, infrastructure, petrol, gas and drinking water exploitation and distribution are seen as fields of mutual interest. Mongolian President invited his Croatian colleague to pay a visit to the Mongolian capital Ulan Bator. On October, 20, the Mongolian President visited Luka Bebić, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament. Accompanied by Gordan Jandroković, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the Mongolian President visited biotechnological company Genera in Zagreb.
