Beijing, 7 June 2025. The Embassy organized a relaxed social gathering for the Croatian community in the People's Republic of China, which once again marked the Statehood Day, as well as the upcoming 30th anniversary of the victorious operation "Storm" and commemorated the 1,100
th anniversary of the coronation of King Tomislav. More than thirty members of the community attended, some from other cities, who spent Saturday afternoon and evening in a cheerful pre-summer atmosphere, some just getting to know each other.
The gathering coincided with the Day of Croatian Diplomacy, marking the letter of recognition that Pope John VIII sent to Duke Branimir on 7 June 879, thus emphasizing one of the main duties of the Croatian Foreign Service, serving our citizens around the world and providing a touch of the Homeland far away.
