Croatian movie for the first time at the Francophone Film Festival

"Slow Days", the movie by a young Croatian director Matija Kluković, was screened with subtitles in Chinese on 15 March 2010 in the auditorium of the French Cultural Center in Beijing which was filled to capacity.  In the presence of the French hostess Ms. Sophie Molinier and Croatian Ambassador Professor Dr. Ante Simonić, the film was introduced by Croatian Deputy Head of Mission in Beijing Dr. Jelena Grčić Polić in French which was translated consecutively into Chinese

This is the first time that Croatia was represented at the Francophone Film Festival which is taking place in Beijing for the fifteenth time during the month of March.  The festival represents just one of many activities which mark the month of the Francophone Organization in Beijing.  To remind, in this organization that has just marked its 40th anniversary, Croatia holds an observer status.
