While paying a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Mr Ilir Meta, Ambassador Sanja Bujas-Juraga emphasized the friendship between the Croatian and the Albanian peoples and also her desire to strive during her diplomatic assignment in Albania to additionally strengthen the relations between the two countries.
Speaker of the Albanian Parliament Meta expressed a heartfelt welcome to the Ambassador and stressed the need for stronger development of bilateral cooperation between parliaments and in any other sphere of mutual interest. Mr Meta considers Croatia a friend and an ally in issues of importance for SEE and Albania’s integration into the EU.
A common understanding was achieved that direct air and maritime connection between the two countries would be conducive to intensifying of bonds between the two peoples and for development of economic cooperation that would additionally be facilitated by the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian Highway.
