The EU Delegation to Albania in cooperation with the Embassies of the EU Member States and the Municipality of Tirana, have organized the "EU village" in the pedestrian street Toptani in Tirana. The village was opened on 10 May 2019 to mark the Europe Day. In the pavilions, the EU member states presented their countries and activities in Albania. Croatia exhibited the brochures of Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) and Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ). Visitors could also enjoy the great selection of Croatian sweets donated by Kras Food Industry from Zagreb. During the day, EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca, Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj and Ambassadors of EU Member States, visited the "EU village" pavilions and participated in debates dedicated to Europe.
