Europe Day (9 May) was celebrated the evening before at a diplomatic reception organised by the Delegation of the European Union in Seoul. It was attended by a large number of members of the diplomatic community in Seoul, Korean officials and representatives of the Korean academic and private sectors. Ambassador Dr. Kušen was present together with the staff of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Seoul, with a special stand where visitors could taste Croatian products.
The attendees were addressed by the Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, H.E. Ugo Astuto, along with the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Yeo Han-koo, and the First Minister of Science and ICT of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Koo Hyuk-chae as special guests of honour.
