Ambassador Mihelin Continues Dialogue on Connectivity with China's National Carrier Air China

Beijing, 12 March 2026. The Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the People's Republic of China Dario Mihelin, held a meeting with the Vice President of Air China Yan Fei, as part of renewed efforts to introduce direct air connections between Croatia and China, that started at the beginning of 2023, after the Chinese international aviation market gradually returned to normal.
 
Vice President Yan confirmed that plans are underway to connect China with several remaining unconnected capitals in Central and Eastern Europe and thanked for all the information provided by the Embassy and the Croatian National Tourist Board.
 
Ambassador Mihelin expressed his satisfaction with the progress made in the project to connect China and Croatia by air, and reiterated the Embassy's readiness to continue providing all necessary assistance with the information and support in communication with Croatian authorities, and expressed his wish that Air China, given its network, in the near future would become a leader in the Asian air travel connections to Croatia.
