Ambassador Mihelin at the High-Level Business Dialogue of the Chinese IBI Platform for Industrial Internet and B2B e-commerce

Beijing, 11 February 2026. At the invitation of the founder and CEO of one of the leading Chinese platforms for industrial Internet and B2B e-commerce, Qian Xiaojun, Ambassador Dario Mihelin participated in the High-level Business Dialogue of this company, held to mark the new Year of the Horse according to the lunar calendar, together with selected ambassadors from countries around the world, with the aim of considering new opportunities for the global outreach of this platform.
 
Ambassador Mihelin presented the possibilities of cooperation with Croatia, emphasizing that Croatia attaches great importance to the further development of cooperation with China in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the areas of economy, tourism, science, culture, sports and people-to-people contacts. "Croatia is open to doing business with China, and successful projects of Chinese companies testify to this." He emphasized that Croatia, with strong political stability and long-term economic growth, an investment-grade credit rating and on track to join the OECD this year, has many factors that make it a good place to invest and do business, such as a strategic location, competitive investment costs and a skilled workforce. He invited the IBI leadership to visit and work with Croatia to explore cooperation opportunities in areas such as cross-border e-commerce, port logistics and green energy, in cooperation with the Embassy and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce Office in Shanghai.
